I’m Erin. I’m a communications professional with a focus on medical writing and editing, based out of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
I currently work as a writer and content coordinator at Living Beyond Breast Cancer, a national nonprofit that provides educational resources and emotional support to people with breast cancer and their loved ones. I write articles for the organization's website and manage its blog. I also write, edit and manage the editorial schedules for the organization's newsletter and many of its educational guides.
At my previous job, as program assistant at Centre Foundation, in State College, Pennsylvania, I did public relations for the foundation, planned and staffed its events, created marketing materials and liaised with the public about donations and grantmaking opportunities, all while handling the foundation's social media and its day-to-day administrative duties. In June of 2012, I spearheaded a project called Centre Gives, which raised more than $415,000 for the local community in just 36 hours. Centre Gives is now a Centre County institution.
I also have experience in journalism, through my work on community magazines at Hibu; and through my work at Penn State University’s prestigious Daily Collegian newspaper.
When I'm not focusing on the topics listed above, I like tea, Bruce Springsteen, scary movies, my cat and other people's dogs.
